Johan created an album with a Fårö feeling

During the year 2020 and this year, life has looked different for all of us. Our plans and hopes had to be set aside for the new reality that has revealed itself. For many, a kind of silence was formed around because of it.

The silence we ourselves had to fill with life. Activities that we otherwise would never have found time for suddenly stood in front of us, inviting.

Sport fishing, jogging or baking sourdough were things we could try. Or maybe try putting your fingers on the piano keys again, just to see how it feels.

Johan Fredriksson did just that. A man who has explored the world and found that Fårö is among the best places to be, picked up a few notes after being absent from the music world for a while and what came to him was an explosion of joy and finally an entire album. An album with Fårö-feeling.

It was at the beginning of the year 2020 that the project got its start and thanks to its musical background from the late 70's and its music-savvy friends, the year 2020's silence was gilded by music.

The album “Keep on Livin´ ”carries more than just Fårö with it.

- Each song is dedicated to a family member and is a gift to my children, as they tell a little about me and where I come from.

Johan usually works as a foreign reporter for tv4, but rents a house on Skär in the summer and it is precisely in this area that he feels most inspired.

- Skär and Norsholmen are where we are mostly, but love to cycle the old road from Bygdegården and see the colors of the whole world. Fårö is so much bigger than you think. I visited Fårö for the first time in the 70's with my parents and later made a return visit as a cycling tourist. It has now been 17 summers in a row thanks to the Nordström family's generosity.

Johan adds:

- The pictures on the album were taken at Norsholmen and the single "Going (for love)" which will be released in March is decorated with a picture from Norsta Auren.
