The Fårösund trail runs between Fårösund on northern Gotland and Broa on Fårö. The length of the ferry route is 1,300 meters and the crossing time is six minutes. The journey with the road ferry is free of charge.

The ferry departs from Fårösund during winter, every half hour during the day except for 12:30 and 09:00.
During the night between 22:00 and 05:30 the ferry must be ordered by calling 077 165 65 65 (State "Staff" and "Fårösundsleden"). Reservations can only be made 10 minutes before.

During summer time the ferry runs without reservation 04:30 - 01:30 and during daytime the ferry sometimes runs every 10 minutes and every 15 minutes.
