Duck City

Duck City, also called Ankdammen and Fårös Ankeborg, is a place just outside the Ulla Haus nature reserve with over 100 plastic ducks.

It all came about in 2002 after Tova Ekstrand & Pernilla Ekenstål wanted to create a benchmark, so that their little siblings could find their way through the forest. The benchmark was a yellow duck.

Over time, the duck was joined by other ducks that Tove and Pernilla placed, but very quickly other visitors began to help and in 2018 they even got an Ank president.

Tove's grandmother Agneta removed the original duck a few years ago, when the plastic had been damaged by the sun.
