Orguhauen is a large dune about a kilometer northeast of
the farms at Ava. It rises just over 20 meters above sea level.
The dune got its name from the beach area called Orgur
and referring to the rocky shore. Hau means dune or
high.

According to PA Säve's records in the 19th century, there was one
lookout stables at the top of Orguhauen. From it you could see five
churches. Of greater importance to the Avabor was probably still that
use the pine to look for seals on the ice (käutaeisen). Sälen
was important for the survival of the people of Fårö and was hunted both for its meat
and for its fat. From the lard one could boil cod liver oil (oil), which
among other things, was used for lamps
